This piece was an assignment at Ringling. We drew a picture of an artist who inspires us, spray fixed it, then rubbed oil over the pencil drawing. After the oil is rubbed on in a thin layer, we wiped off as much as possible and made all the highlights reappear by sing a kneaded eraser. Finally, we colored the piece with colored pencils. This portrait is of Eloy Morales, a very inspirational and extremely talented artist known for his hyperrealistic paintings.
